THE JOB:
Provide direction and leadership for the Environmental Services (EVS) department, consistent with the MGM Resorts brand. Responsible for leading the EVS team in achieving operational and financial goals including managing labor and overall financial performance. Owns the execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the EVS department. Ensure high customer satisfaction and an exceptional guest experience, in accordance with MGM Resorts service standards.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead the implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, labor standards, rules, and regulations (OSHA)

  • Responsible for leading employee engagement of the EVS team, through coaching, training, recognition, and development.

  • Provide leadership and direction to maintain and improve the guest experience within EVS operations, consistent with company service standards.

  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, standards, technology, and processes to ensure competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the complex hospitality and gaming environment.

  • Responsible for leading significant improvement initiatives and processes to enhance performance for employees and leaders in the department.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has at least two (2) years of manager experience (Enviornmental Services preferred)

  • Has excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Has previous experience working in a similar resort setting

  • Has ability to establish guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor and operational cost

  • Is able to successfully lead and mentor a team

  • Has ability to demonstrate practical knowledge in leading and managing processes, projects, and procedures.

  • Is able to manage inventory and can control financial demand within the department
