Job Description
Primary Responsibilities: The Evictions Specialist is primarily responsible for negotiating payoff deadlines and payment plans and making sure all systems are consistent with this information for follow-up, tracking, and reporting purposes
Skills & Competencies:
-
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in collections or paralegal services

Spanish Speaking -Preferred but not required
-
Knowledge of fair housing and local real estate laws, where applicable.

Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced preferred

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Demonstrated customer service skills in fast-paced environment
-
Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work in a deadline-oriented environment and an ability to multi-task

Ability to prove critical thinking and problem-solving concepts
-
Ability to thrive in a high volume, data entry, and processing work environment, where applicable

Experience working in a work schedule environment, including in-office operations, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitoring Resident and Attorney Performance
-
Review resident documentation and payment trends daily.
-
Communicate with the Attorney for each market for continuous updates and reflect them in Conrex tracking systems
-
Report any settlement options or court issues to the Supervisor.

Responsible for Evictions inbox and answering emails timely.
-
Report any known causes of account discrepancies to the Supervisor

Assist with eviction questions from residents.

Monitor credit and collection trends to management.
Eviction daily Operations (Process and Systems) improvement

Identify resident payments and communicate to the appropriate market attorney
-
Assist with updating MRI legal status changes
-
Assist with a variety of projects and perform other duties as assigned

Outbound legal notices and Outbound calls to residents in the last stages of eviction

Create and manage Eviction payment options with residents
-
Adhere always to fair housing laws

Treat all tenants with utmost respect and courtesy
-
Other duties, as assigned by supervisor or leadership team.

Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.

Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, including the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.

Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.

Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail-oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

Must be able to work in small and confined spaces for extended periods.

Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
