The frequency of in-office work will be determined by business needs and guided by your department's directives. Occasional travel will be required in this role.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate across offices and practice groups, including internal departments (e.g., FLEX by Fenwick, Diversity & Inclusion, Pro Bono) to align event strategy and logistics.
  • Assist in the creation and regular reporting of metrics to measure event ROI and enhance the efficiency of event operations.
  • Lead vendor selection and evaluation processes to ensure high-quality, cost-effective partnerships.

Client Relations

  • Partner with attorneys and the Business Development team to execute impactful client-facing events, including appreciation and relationship-building activities.
  • Assist the Director with budgeting, ROI reporting, and performance evaluation for client-hosted experiences, including sporting events, client dinners, and social gatherings.

General Marketing and Team Support

  • Help manage the events and promotional items budget in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Events.
  • Process vendor invoices promptly, ensure additional budget approvals are obtained when necessary, and correctly categorize expenses.
  • Participate actively in departmental initiatives and assigned task forces.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with vendors and sponsorship partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with polished grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
  • Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines; a good sense of humor is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Self-starter with initiative, organization, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable interfacing directly with partners and senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of the technology and innovation industries (software, mobile, life sciences, cleantech) is helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with event management platforms is a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and attend evening/weekend events as required.

Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the qualified candidate will have 1-3 years of event coordination or meeting planning experience. Law firm or professional services experience a plus. Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred).
