About the Role
We are seeking an Events Specialist who will play a key role in supporting the SEA and ANZ events team developing and executing strategic events from in-person to virtual and everything in between, for both external and internal audiences.
A go-getter, you should not be afraid to push the envelope and bring new ideas to the table, as well as experiment with the latest tools and technologies to elevate our events into unique-to-Netflix experiences. From external-facing events to internal employee-facing events; you will display curiosity about building holistic event experiences with new and innovative event ideas. The Events Specialist should be able to manage and execute a variety of event formats across the business including, but are not limited to, press conferences, title premieres, B2B events, fan activations and other internal employee-facing events.
Reporting to the Events Lead for SEA and ANZ, this is a hands-on role and one that requires end to end project management of a number of events, whilst working as a support on others. You will have impeccable attention to detail, the ability to see the big picture as well as have the flexibility to partner seamlessly across diversified markets in the region
Core Responsibilities: The Work
As a specialist you will be responsible for a varied and extensive set of tasks, including:
Event Execution: Supporting the planning, management, and execution of major external events (e.g title premieres, fan activations and press events ) and internal employee-facing events.
Creative Development: Producing unique-to-Netflix events/experiences and contributing to creative conceptualization, including crafting creative proposals and quotations with external agencies.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Management: Coordinating with outside agencies, vendors, internal teams, and cross-functional partners across the APAC region to ensure impactful event campaigns.
Operational Support: Leading meeting planning, coordinating documentation and audiovisual needs, managing invite processes, and tracking creative and screening asset requests.
Process Improvement: Establishing best practices with other departments to increase speed, scale, and impact of event execution.
Innovation: Displaying a curiosity to build holistic event experiences by experimenting with the latest tools and technologies (hybrid/virtual and in-person).
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:
6+ yrs of events experiential marketing preferably from the entertainment industry that includes managing, executing, planning events at an agency, studio, network or with a brand
Highly proactive, agile and able to pivot quickly while maintaining a positive sense of humor
Demonstrate budget and time management skills, including the ability to operate effectively within tight deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a view of the overall strategic picture
Exercises sound judgement when faced with ambiguity
Confident in expressing ideas and points of view thoughtfully and with passion
Be transparent and willing to challenge, ask questions or call out obstacles
Showcase impeccable organizational skills and demonstrate a can do attitude
Have excellent communication in English. A second language is preferable
