Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overall Events Management: Manage the event process from start to finish. Collaborate and strategize with any necessary staff, faculty and other WashU/Olin leaders to determine the type, scale and tone of events. Assist with developing long-and short-term goals and plans for events. Conduct event planning meetings, staff briefings and event evaluations. Manage event logistics including set-up, tear-down, registration, audio-visual, food and beverage. Order and maintain all event and conference supplies. Administer and oversee individual event budgets. Research potential venues and negotiate contracts for space. Negotiate/maintain relationships with vendors and venue staff. Includes administrative and budget management activities as necessary.
- Communication plans for events: Manage all communications for each event including all creative for the invitations, registrations, reminders and updates, as needed. Post event data collection and report accurate details to CRM team.
- Support to the Olin-wide Event and Programming Functions: Work with the Events Team to support faculty conferences, seminars, brown bags, graduation ceremonies and all Olin wide events, assist in developing consistent standards school wide.
- Performs other duties as required.
