About Alumni Ventures

Alumni Ventures is one of the world’s most active venture capital platforms, with $1.4B+ in assets raised and investments in 1,600+ companies. Our network of 850,000+ members and 40+ dedicated investors connects accredited individuals to high-quality venture deals—typically reserved for institutions—through our alumni-driven communities and diversified co-investment strategy. With offices in Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester, NH, London and Tokyo we’re rapidly growing and committed to fueling entrepreneurial success while developing the next generation of VC professionals.

We believe our best work happens when we’re together. AV operates as a five-day-a-week, in-office culture because collaboration, mentorship, and shared momentum matter.

About the Role

Alumni Ventures (AV) is piloting a new field-based role: an Events Manager who will serve as our on-the-ground presence at high-value conferences and events. This role is ideal for an outgoing, energetic, and persuasive individual who thrives in live environments and can turn in-person conversations into high-quality investor sign-ups.

The Events Manager will typically spend two days per week staffing event booths across the country (mainly focused in Las Vegas), one day documenting and recapping leads and insights, and two days preparing for upcoming activations. As a member of the AV Events team, this individual will also support other event-related initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, communicates confidently and clearly, and brings the energy required to represent a fast-paced venture firm in the field.

During the first month, the hire will spend 1–2 weeks at our Manchester, NH headquarters learning AV’s brand, product, and internal processes.

What You’ll Do
  • Represent AV at around 50 to 75 plus trade shows, conferences, and niche industry events per year
  • Drive booth engagement with creative conversation starters and clear pitches
  • Educate prospects on the Alumni Venture Syndicate and other fund onboarding pathways
  • Walk qualified prospects through initial onboarding (QR, form sign up)
  • Recap each event with a clean handoff of leads, learnings, and conversion metrics
  • Prepare and optimize for each event with pitch practice, asset coordination, and booth logistics
  • Maintain basic CRM (customer relationship management) hygiene and lead capture protocols
Who You Are
  • Extroverted and outgoing with natural interpersonal charisma
  • Proven experience in sales, field marketing, promotions, or live engagement
  • Professional demeanor and strong verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and self-directed with excellent follow-through
  • Energized by fast-paced environments and weekly travel
  • Comfortable with basic tech tools (e.g., QR signups, lead capture forms, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the venture capital or financial services landscape is a plus.

Compensation includes a base salary, eligibility for equity participation, an annual corporate bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Benefits

Our Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, HSA, FSA, Life Insurance, Unlimited PTO, parental leave and more
