The Role

We are seeking a temporary Events Coordinator to join our team and assist in finalising our annual sales conference. We envisage you will be needed approximately 20 hours per week leading up to the conference and then will be required on site (Gold Coast location) for the 5 days of the conference starting Monday 16th February.
You’ll take the lead on planning and coordinating Covetrus’ annual Commercial Conference, including:
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to shape event design, audience, and outcomes.
- Keeping on track with project milestones.
- Coordination of logistics including arrival and departures of attendees across Australia & NZ.
- Coordinating with venues, suppliers, speakers, equipment, catering, AV, and promotional materials.
- Overseeing daily registrations of employees, sponsors, and panelists.
- Completing WHS and risk assessments and ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated ahead of time.
- Confirming all event details with vendors, speakers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Preparing detailed run sheets and distributing them with appropriate lead time.
- Managing and maintaining event equipment, ensuring everything is ready for use.
About You
Ideally you will display –
- Experience in event coordination (community, corporate events etc.).
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Confidence working with diverse stakeholders and a warm, people-first approach to communication.
- Ability to adapt event formats to different audiences.
- Practical understanding of WHS in events (support provided).
- A love for creating meaningful, well-run experiences.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Previous software experience utilizing project management software, Outlook, Survey Monkey etc.
- Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and operational best practices.
