TechCrunch is seeking an Events Coordinator to execute planning for TechCrunch-branded events. Candidate will plan, manage, and execute logistics and operations for TechCrunch events. They will possess excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with extensive large event experience. Must be willing and able to travel, both in the U.S. and internationally.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of world-class event experiences

Own end-to-end event logistics and vendor management; create detailed production timelines and run-of-show documents
-
Negotiate vendor rates and manage contracts and relationships
-
Work with management to create health, safety, and security plans
-
Research and vet reception and conference venues, vendors, and suppliers
-
Book, negotiate and liaise with vendors and suppliers as the main point of contact
-
Create and manage on-site F&B menus and catering plans
-
You’ll be the first in and last out, ensuring all logistics run smoothly, day of.
Required Skills & Experience:

BS/BA degree and 2+ years of recent experience required in an event planning role, with direct responsibility executing on-site events.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both written & verbal) skills

Outstanding customer service and hospitality mindset

Attention to detail – extremely organized and efficient, committed to maintaining accurate and detailed files

Excellent research skills - know the places to look and manage time spent efficiently

Ability to effectively deliver in a fast–paced environment

Ability to manage tasks, time and schedule with limited supervision

Adept at working on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders at once, and able to prioritize and make the best use of time

Ability to interact with a wide range of clients - from C-level executives to technical programmers

Candidate must be able to work both independently and with a team

Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills

Creative – Ability to think of new ways to impact our events

Problem Solve - Thinks quickly on their feet and able to address situations quickly, professionally, and with positive outcomes

Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills

Must demonstrate strong computer knowledge (office applications, internet, registration software, database applications, and project management software) - proven ability to pick up new programs and software quickly

Technologically savvy - Prior experience with event management or productivity apps a plus. Bizzabo, Hubspot, Google Suite, Adobe products.

The compensation for this position ranges from $82,125.00 - $171,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
