The role builds a repeatable communications capability across Convergint’s global events portfolio through integrated planning, executive content, attendee communications and reusable frameworks. In alignment with Global Communications' brand, voice and messaging standards, this role independently develops, writes, edits and delivers executive-ready communications that reflect Convergint's culture and Values & Beliefs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications Planning & Governance: Own communications planning for priority events, including communications plans and outlines, messaging calendars, approval workflows and repeatable templates that can be reused year after year.
Executive Storytelling & Content: Develop and edit keynote narratives, executive presentations, speaker briefs, agendas, talking points, scripts and run-of-show content that translate business and executive priorities into a cohesive story that drives audience understanding, alignment and action.
Communications Development: Write, edit, proofread and deliver invitations, registration and reminder communications, signage, onsite messaging, speaker communications and post-event follow-up.
Attendee Communications Journey: Design audience-specific communications journeys before, during and after each event by mapping touchpoints, sequencing messages, defining intended actions and incorporating attendee feedback.
Brand & Editorial Quality: Own editorial quality and ensure all attendee-facing communications align with Convergint brand standards, messaging guidelines and Values & Beliefs.
Operating Partnership: Serve as an embedded member of the Events team and strategic partner to Global Communications, maintaining alignment on enterprise messaging, brand and voice while independently owning event-specific communications strategy and execution.
Agency & Cross-functional Leadership: Lead the communications workstream across Creative Services, UX/UI resources and agency partners so content and digital touchpoints are delivered as one cohesive communications journey.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in communications, content marketing, event marketing or a related discipline, including experience building communications plans and communications governance.
- Strong preference for advanced presentation creation and editing skills, including the ability to develop executive-ready PowerPoint content, strengthen narrative flow and message hierarchy, and simplify complex information for clarity and impact.
- Experience with audience journey mapping and communications sequencing.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience working with event operations, creative teams and agencies.
- Experience with Cvent or comparable event technology preferred.
PERFORMANCE METRICS
Planning & Execution: Comprehensive communications plans are completed for every priority event, and all attendee communications are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Editorial Quality & Partnership: Communications meet brand and editorial standards, require minimal Global Communications review and are developed through strong cross-functional alignment with clear role ownership.
Repeatability: Communications plans, templates and messaging frameworks are reused across annual events using an 80/20 model.
Audience Impact & Continuous Improvement: Attendee feedback and available engagement data are used to assess message clarity, engagement and intended action and to improve future communications plans and content.
This is a remote or hybrid role within a highly matrixed, collaborative environment across regional and global teams. The position requires approximately 25-30% travel to support events, field activation, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
