Events Assistant

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have a passion for events, organisation, and luxury experiences as you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional moments. 

About the Role 
In this role you’ll be supporting the Events team in all aspects of planning and execution—from admin coordination to onsite delivery—ensuring every detail runs smoothly. This role offers the chance to work across a variety of high-profile events, often at pace and with quick turnarounds.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Assisting with day-to-day coordination and planning of events, including updating calendars, managing team meetings, and supporting financial and Health & Safety tasks.
•    Providing onsite support during event delivery alongside Events Executives and Managers.
•    Liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and guest experience.
•    Conducting industry research, maintaining accurate records, and preparing weekly meeting agendas and timelines.
•    Supporting Harrods Banqueting services by managing catering logistics, Food & Beverage orders through SAP, and coordinating stock and event orders.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

This role requires full flexibility to the nature of supporting early morning, evening and occasional weekend work. 

About You 
You will be a proactive and confident team player with a natural flair for organisation and communication. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you're not afraid to take initiative and offer support beyond your remit when needed. you’ll bring energy, professionalism, and a hunger to learn and grow in the events space. 

You will also have: 
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams.
•    High attention to detail with excellent organisation and multitasking abilities.
•    The ability to use your initiative and a proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and support the wider team.
•    Confidence using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
