EUV Technical Support Engineer - Computer System(Software) Module

Introduction to the job 

Technical Support Engineer (TSE) Provides technical equipment support to ASML field service engineers and customers by analyzing and solving complex technical equipment problems. Responsible for creating forward looking action plans, both remote and - when needed - in the customer fab to execute complex technical actions. Acts as a diagnostics expert with in-depth equipment knowledge on installed base systems and new products. Responsible for identifying and recognizing structural issues, finding workarounds to mitigate issues and driving structural issue resolution via the corresponding channels in the central organization

• 설치된 장비와 신제품에 대한 깊은 장비 이해를 기반으로 하드웨어/소프트웨어 문제를 지원하고, 안정적인 장비 운영을 위한 선제적 액션 플랜을 수립·수행 

• 반복적으로 발생하는 구조적 문제를 식별하고, 단기적인 우회 방안을 마련하며, 중앙 조직과 협업해 근본 원인 해결을 주도 

Role and responsibilities 

• Provide support to internal and external customers by solving escalated problems and providing information to ensure the optimum machine performance criteria are met in the field.

• Develops and implements solutions to unusual and complex technical problems escalated from field service or by customers

• Escalates problems to Equipment support per ASML procedure including complete and accurate data and problem descriptions.

• Performs data analysis of systems to resolve problems and/or to improve system performance.

• Recommend and implement improvements to the hardware and/or process parameters and/or associated methodologies/procedures pertaining to the repair/set-up of the ASML tools.

• Communicate with GSC or DnE to get a containment or action plans to solve various machine problems and communicate with field team and/or customer to execute prepared action plans.

• Knowledge transfer to internal/ external customer

• Contribute to system performance improvement and to satisfy customer’s production plan by offering efficient technical support

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2-6 years of experience in customer support engineering within the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries. *반도체 계측 시스템, 반도체 제조 시스템 또는 반도체 장비 경력 우대 

• Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment, semiconductor metrology systems, or semiconductor production systems is highly preferred.

• Hands-on experience in Linux-based software diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for equipment or system issues.

• Experience providing customer-facing technical support, including onsite issue resolution and communication with customers during critical situations.

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

• Experience managing and monitoring computer systems, infrastructure, and software applications in a production environment.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve software-related issues in semiconductor equipment and manufacturing systems.

• Knowledge of SEMI standards and experience utilizing diagnostic tools and methodologies within semiconductor manufacturing environments is preferred.

• Understanding of computer networking, network troubleshooting, and system connectivity.

• Experience with data analysis and automation scripting using Python, SQL, Shell Script, or similar programming languages.

• Professional communication skills in both English and Korean, written and verbal.
