Job Description
We are seeking an investment analyst to join our Pan-European Small Cap Equities team. In this role, you will help uncover high-conviction investment opportunities through rigorous fundamental research and direct engagement with companies across Europe. You will influence portfolio outcomes by delivering differentiated insights, collaborating closely with experienced investment professionals, and presenting investment recommendations. • Conduct fundamental bottom-up equity research and industry analysis to identify attractive European small-cap investment opportunities.
• Generate investment ideas through independent research, market intelligence, internal collaboration, and engagement with management teams, competitors, suppliers, industry experts, and sell-side analysts.
• Lead company meetings, documenting insights and key investment considerations for the team.
• Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to develop and present high-conviction investment recommendations.
• Prepare stock and sector review materials that support portfolio decision-making and investment discussions.
• Travel across Europe to meet companies, attend conferences, and conduct on-site research and due diligence.
To be successful in this role you will have…
• Experience in equity research, stock picking, or investment analysis, ideally within European equity markets.
• Experience in analysing small-cap or mid-cap companies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills with the ability to assess investment opportunities rigorously.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver clear, high-conviction investment recommendations.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle information efficiently, and maintain a diligent work ethic.
• Data analytics and Artificial Intelligence skills are preferred.
In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
