As the Europe Sustainability IT Domain Lead, you will drive the transformation and management of Sustainability and Green IT systems for Chanel’s European operations. This key position supports the company’s Sustainability roadmap, leading the transition to global platforms, regionalization of key systems, and the reduction of the TECH function’s environmental impact.

Reporting to the Europe Corporate Functions IT Director, with a matrix link to the Head of Sustainability for Europe, you will lead internal and external teams, collaborating with global and regional partners to deliver a robust, scalable, and future-ready Sustainability technology ecosystem.

WHAT IMPACT YOU CREATE AT CHANELSustainability tech Domain strategy
  • Define and execute the Sustainability IT strategy for Europe, aligned with global and business objectives.

  • Develop and lead the Sustainable IT strategy (Environment, Social, Governance) within the IT department.

  • Partner with Sustainability, business, and IT teams to optimize organizational structure and prepare for future growth.

  • Be the ambassador for Europe Tech within Sustainability forums at both regional and global levels.

System & Portfolio Management
  • Oversee the portfolio of Sustainability technology and innovation initiatives, ensuring consistent, reliable, and scalable tools.

  • Lead the delivery of regional and global projects in collaboration with Sustainability Performance teams, IT, business service platforms, suppliers, and global teams.

  • Ensure seamless integration and governance of Sustainability systems, measuring effective delivery and service quality.

Project Delivery & Change Management
  • Support change management for IT initiatives impacting Sustainability systems, ensuring effective communication and adoption across all users.

  • Coordinate annual data collection for measuring tech impact, simplifying methods and documenting changes.

Innovation & Adoption
  • Identify, promote, and deploy innovative initiatives to reduce the environmental and social footprint of IT (energy optimization, sustainable equipment lifecycle management, responsible cloud, etc.).

  • Define and implement a detailed roadmap of actions to reduce environmental and social impacts of technology, in close collaboration with the Europe Sustainability Net Zero lead.

  • Establish and monitor indicators, producing reports to track progress.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training
  • Develop strategic partnerships with Chanel business teams, internal IT teams, and external partners.

  • Establish elements to train and raise awareness among IT and business teams about responsible digital issues and good ESG practices.

  • Be the key contact for internal and external stakeholders on Sustainable IT matters.

Vendor & Contract Management
  • Be the key contact for internal and external stakeholders on Sustainable IT matters.

Budget & Roadmap
  • Be the key contact for internal and external stakeholders on Sustainable IT matters.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Sustainability, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Sustainability IT, including project management and tech solutions.

  • Functional knowledge of Sustainability domains and curiosity about technological innovations.

  • Experience in multicultural environments (multi-country).

  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute complex initiatives.

  • Vendor and contract management skills.

  • Solid understanding of sustainability issues and the company’s roadmap.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to analyze business processes in complex environments.

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset.

  • Passion for innovation and curiosity about new technologies.
