Role Overview

The People Advisor Europe is responsible for delivering a proactive, professional and customer-focused people service across multiple European countries. Reporting to the Europe People Manager, the role acts as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance across employee relations, employee lifecycle activities, benefits administration, global mobility and Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements.

Working closely with the Europe People Manager, Europe Payroll Advisor, Europe People Administration Team and business stakeholders, the People Advisor supports the consistent delivery of people processes and helps ensure compliance with local employment legislation, company policies and best practice across the region.

The role plays a key part in supporting the employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle, providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters, overseeing onboarding and offboarding activities, coordinating benefits enrolment, supporting global mobility and Employer On Record processes, and contributing to a range of European People projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Advisory
  • Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across Europe on policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
  • Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters, supporting managers with absence management, probation reviews, performance conversations and routine employee relations matters, escalating more complex cases where appropriate.
  • Support managers with performance management, employee development and people-related decision-making.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with local legislative requirements.
Employee Lifecycle
  • Oversee onboarding, employee changes and offboarding activities across Europe, working closely with the Europe People Administration Team to ensure a seamless and compliant employee experience.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Team to support a smooth and timely onboarding process.
  • Ensure accurate employee documentation and records are maintained throughout the employee lifecycle with support from the Europe People Administration Team.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities for Employer of Record (EOR) employees.
  • Coordinate and conduct exit interviews where appropriate, identifying themes and sharing insights with the wider People Team to support continuous improvement and employee retention.
Benefits
  • Manage employee benefits enrolment activities across Europe.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for benefits-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Liaise with benefit providers and brokers to support the effective administration of benefit programmes.
  • Deliver benefits inductions and onboarding sessions for new employees, ensuring understanding of available benefits and associated processes.
  • Support annual benefits renewals and employee benefits communications.
Global Mobility & EOR
  • Support global mobility activities, including relocations, international assignments and cross-border working arrangements.
  • Support visa, immigration and work permit processes through external providers where required.
  • Support Employer of Record (EOR) employee lifecycle activities and liaise with EOR providers as required.
People Systems & Operations
  • Act as a super user for People systems, providing guidance and support to managers and employees and promoting effective use across Europe.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Europe Payroll Advisor to ensure employee changes impacting payroll are communicated accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex queries received through the Europe People Inbox.
  • Produce people reports and data as required.

Candidate Profile
Qualifications
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
Experience

Essential
  • Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Experience supporting employees and managers across multiple European countries.
  • Strong employee relations experience.
  • Experience managing employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Experience administering employee benefits programmes.
  • Experience working with HR systems and employee data.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable
  • Experience supporting global mobility activities.
  • Experience working with Employer of Record (EOR) providers.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Additional European language skills.
