Job Description:

In order to Achieve the certification of the first European MALE (Medium-altitude long-endurance), Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Spain) is looking for an Eurodrone Airworthiness & Certification Engineer (d/f/m).

You will be working for the Eurodrone Program, which is the first large Medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that is being developed on a multinational level in Europe between Spain, France, Italy and Germany. In this fantastic project Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is the prime contractor and responsible organisation.

You will be part of the Airworthiness team that will ensure a safe and airworthy system working with the rest of Engineering disciplines.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Define and agree the applicable certification and safety requirements for the product

• Develop the necessary certifications plans with the verification strategy that would allow compliance with the agreed requirements

• Perform the showing of compliance against the applicable requirements supporting Flight Testing, ground Testing, simulations, etc.

• Lead the different technical disciplines in the certification exercise

• Liaise with the other participating industries from France, Spain and Italy

• Liaise with the Certification Authorities and the final customer

Desired skills and qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace

• More than 3 years of relevant experience in Engineering/Aerospace

• Desirable experience in Aerospace Engineering. More specifically Airworthiness knowledge would be considered a plus

• Knowledge about end-to-end Aircraft design and development process would be plus

• Good negotiation skills combined with solid stakeholder management skills in order to deal with many customers and/or various authorities

• Developed interpersonal skills and a proactive way of working in a rapidly changing environment

• Proficiency in English (C1/C2 level) and good German (B2 level) language skills

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
