Job Description:
The Artwork Deployment Expert manages artwork change projects to deliver excellence in design execution ensuring adherence to the relevant processes (eg QuEST & POP), in line with the Global, Regional and Local processes and principles. The primary objective is to manage the artwork briefing & approval process ensuring changes are delivered correct and on time in order for NPD launches and VLS initiatives to be delivered according to the business plan.
The job holder is responsible for the data management within the design process framework.
The job holder is also responsible for the project management & implementation of low complexity projects e.g. promotions, launches of existing products to new markets, & product discontinuations, in line with the QuEST process.
The Artwork Deployment Expert will be part of the cross-functional teams representing the design area, being the custodian of the design process and highlighting relevant risks of a project. The job holder will establish strong collaboration with design agencies and GPCs (Graphic Production Center) to be the link between marketing and design execution. It will be require high level of proactivity and independency working in a complex environment with ca. 1000 pack changes per year (total EU Food) and with multiple interfaces.
The project management element of the job is done by collaborating with an extensive supply and demand network, leading & motivating cross functional activity task groups, and involving stakeholders when needed, to ensure projects are delivered on scope, in line with CSFs, and on time.
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. Artwork Deployment
- Managing the artwork change area of projects in line with QuEST, POP and the artwork compilation process. This consists of managing the artwork briefing and approval process from the start (Innovation Design Brief) until the Printer Brief is sent to the supplier(s), by facilitating cross-functional Design ATGs where required.
- Providing core ATG (activity task group) with Design ATG recommendations, including scenario and risk management and highlighting major issues and deviations to the agreed framework and outlines implications
briefing to Packaging Compliance for Legal Text Specification - Briefing the external compilation agency (GPC) for Artwork compilation and repro.
- Briefing to markets for PAT (marketing text) translation, and R&D for Product Information Datasheets (PIDs).
- Approval of EAN Code, Pack code, Language Grouping & Order at approval stage after compilation is done (incl. amend loops)
- Ensuring RFT design inputs and outputs (e.g. Briefing document, PAT, LTS, etc).
- Conducting Post Design Project Reviews and ensures communication of the learnings.
2. Data management:
- Key User of the Printed Packs Specifications management within Veritas (when fully implemented in Food), identifying & raising continuous improvements where necessary.
3. Project Management
- Implementation of small projects e.g. promotions, launches of existing products to new markets, & product discontinuations. This will involve feasibility assessment, time planning, and coordination with factory and market stakeholders.
4. Activity Management Function Support
- Provide administrative support to the wider EU & Global Activity Management Team, including tracking portfolios and taking care of data requests, etc

- Good knowledge of MS office and affinity with systems.
