ETL Software Engineer

The Opportunity:  

As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of ETL, data management, automation, clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We’re looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create automated, efficient, and effective systems for our clients. 

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering knowledge, you’ll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability that can help automate processes today.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL

• Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including writing custom transformations and interfaces

• Experience building efficient and scalable ETL pipelines

• Experience with data modeling principles and data quality concepts

• Ability to work with little or no supervision

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Oracle

• Experience with ETL tools

• Experience with metadata stores with pointers to unstructured content

• Experience with unstructured datastores

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Possession of excellent corporate communication skills

• AWS Data Engineer or Azure Data Engineer Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
