Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, utility, and process mechanical systems.
  • Experience performing field walkdowns and generating punch list items.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering Team in conducting active mechanical pre-energization walkdowns.
  • Verify installation completeness and readiness of mechanical systems and equipment prior to startup and energization.
  • Review equipment installation against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Participate in field inspections of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to:
    • Chillers
    • Boilers
    • Fluid Coolers
    • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    • HVAC Systems
    • Pumps
    • Piping Systems
    • Mechanical Utility Systems
  • Support active pre-energization walkdowns for mechanical equipment and associated support systems.
  • Identify deficiencies, installation issues, and quality concerns.
  • Create, document, track, and follow up on punch list items and field observations.
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, quality, and engineering teams to resolve identified issues.
  • Support mechanical turnover and readiness activities leading to startup and operation.
  • Provide written status updates and reports as required.
