DUTIES: Wellmark of South Dakota Inc. seeks a ETL Customer Analytics Consultant based out of our office at 1331 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309. This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and integration from various sources. Analyze trends in account data to identify opportunities for market penetration growth and improve business strategies. Assess and process data relevant to market penetration growth, including price transparency Machine-Readable Files (MRFs) from health insurers. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data insights. Utilize Microsoft Power BI, SAS, Python, and SQL to create comprehensive data analyses and visualizations. Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing best practices for data collection, storage, and processing. Provide technical support and guidance on ETL processes, data analysis, and business intelligence tools. Develop and implement automated solutions for Schedule A reporting requirements. Communicate complex data insights and technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Proactively identify potential risks in data management and propose effective solutions. Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related;
24 months of experience in job offered or related;
Experience must include: Two (2) years of experience with health care insurance, specifically in creating data engineering pipelines; two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, SAS, Python, and SQL; experience with automating Schedule A reporting; two (2) years of experience with analyzing and processing price transparency Machine-Readable Files (MRFs) from health insurers; experience with data visualization and formula creation; and experience with business intelligence or analysis platforms;
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification required.
