We are currently looking for an Ethics & Compliance Intern to join our team in Franklin, TN. The Global Compliance Office is responsible for Nissan's ethics, compliance, and privacy programs. Our team partners with functions across the company to promote ethical decision-making, support regulatory compliance, protect personal data, and help manage business risks. As an intern, you will gain exposure to a broad range of compliance and privacy activities, including training and communications, risk assessments, investigations, policy management, third-party risk management, data privacy, and program governance while collaborating with stakeholders across Nissan's global organization.


A Day in the Life:

  • Gain hands-on experience supporting Nissan's Ethics, Compliance, and Data Privacy programs.
  • Assist with third-party due diligence reviews and compliance screening activities to help identify and manage potential risks.
  • Support privacy initiatives, including data inventory activities, individual rights requests, and data governance projects.
  • Help administer employee disclosure processes, including Conflict of Interest and Gifts & Hospitality reviews.
  • Partner with team members across multiple business functions on research, communications, reporting, training, and special projects.

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business, Business Administration, Risk Management, Ethics & Compliance, Legal Studies, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Students entering their Junior, Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Interest in compliance, ethics, privacy, risk management, and corporate governance.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Franklin, TN.
