Job Summary 

JRM is seeking a Bid Coordinator to join their growing team. The applicant must be a passionate individual who is ready to contribute their talents and expertise to an environment that rewards hard work, cooperation, and respect.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparing bid paperwork, bid invitations and spreadsheets, presentation materials, and distributing documents as directed
  • Distributing drawings in both paper and electronic versions; coordinating with printing company on printing requests as well as on maintaining originals
  • Coordinating with vendors on proposal submissions
  • Providing support in the bidding process, including calling and qualifying subcontractors in each trade to bid project; making plan copies; creating correspondence and bid books; performing follow-up tasks; and ensuring that all proposals have been collected
  • Performing follow up on price submission, maintain department databases, and assist senior estimators with general requests
  • Meeting with estimators to determine if there is proper coverage in a trade line and addressing bid lists throughout a bid.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working within the construction industry with an understanding of construction project lifecycles is a plus, but not required
  • Resourceful, driven, and self-motivated individual
  • Strong internal and external communication skills
  • Must be able to efficiently multi-task
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and meet them
  • Ability to maintain Vendor Relationships

Computer Systems

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Building Connected
