Position: Estates & Facilities Manager
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £38,000 – £46,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Estates & Facilities Manager to take ownership of Labman’s property portfolio and workplace environment. This is a pivotal role where you will not only manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our facilities but also play a key part in shaping our long-term estates strategy.
What you will do
- Lead the management, maintenance, and compliance of Labman’s estate, including our commercial HQ and rental properties.
- Develop and deliver a long-term estates strategy, ensuring facilities align with business growth and sustainability goals.
- Manage refurbishment, expansion, and workplace improvement projects from concept to completion, engaging with local planning authorities and external stakeholders where required.
- Oversee health, safety, and statutory compliance across all properties.
- Negotiate, manage, and monitor service contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring high standards and value for money.
- Provide leadership to on-site teams, including maintenance, cleaning, and catering, ensuring consistent service excellence.
- Maintain accurate reporting and records to support compliance, audits, and strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in estates or facilities management within a complex, multi-site or commercial environment.
- Strong project management expertise, with a track record of delivering refurbishment, expansion, or property improvement projects.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Financial and commercial acumen to manage budgets, contracts, and supplier negotiations effectively.
- Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational detail.
- Knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance relating to estates and property management.
