PUBG MOBILE is one of the most watched and played mobile esports titles in the world, and Türkiye is one of its most strategic markets. The Turkish esports ecosystem has built a passionate competitive community anchored by PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Türkiye, top-tier organizations, and one of the largest Twitch/Kick broadcast audiences in EMEA.
As Senior Esports Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of the local competitive ecosystem — from tournament operations and broadcast production to team relations, content strategy, and commercialization. You will be the operational owner of PMPL Türkiye and all national-level PUBG Mobile competitions.
Key Responsibilities1. Competition Strategy & Tournament Operations• Own the strategy, calendar, and execution of PMPL Türkiye and all national PUBG Mobile competitions (open qualifiers, national finals, grassroots/university circuits).
• Define competition formats, rulebooks, prize pools, and seeding logic in alignment with global esports standards.
• Lead on-site and online tournament operations: production schedule, match administration, referee & anti-cheat oversight, player lounge, and venue logistics.
• Represent Türkiye at international events (PMSL EMEA, PMGC, PMWC) — manage qualified teams, travel, and on-ground operations.
2. Broadcast, Content & Audience Growth• Oversee the local broadcast production (Turkish-language) across Twitch, Kick, YouTube and partner platforms — studio, talent, graphics, and storytelling.
• Grow viewership, watch time, and peak concurrent viewers (PCV) across domestic broadcasts; define KPIs and deliver against them season-over-season.
• Lead creator & talent strategy: caster/host selection, development, and contracting; build the local PUBG Mobile esports media brand.
• Approve narrative, storylines, and editorial calendars that deepen fan engagement with teams, players, and rivalries.
3. Team, Player & Ecosystem Relations• Act as the primary point of contact for Turkish pro organizations, players, coaches, and managers — maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.
• Drive ecosystem health: player welfare, team sustainability frameworks, league participation incentives, and pathway from amateur to pro.
• Enforce competitive integrity standards (Code of Conduct, anti-cheat, roster regulations, match-fixing prevention) in coordination with global integrity.
4. Commercial & Partnership Development• Partner with the Türkiye commercial team to package and sell sponsorships, media rights, and activations tied to the local esports IP.
• Build and manage relationships with brand sponsors, platform partners (Twitch/Kick/YouTube), telcos, and venue partners.
• Own the esports P&L for Türkiye — budget planning, forecasting, vendor negotiation, and ROI reporting to the Country Manager and Global HQ.
5. Stakeholder Management & Reporting• Serve as the single operational owner of PUBG Mobile esports in Türkiye across internal stakeholders (Marketing, Publishing, Product, Community, Legal, Finance).
• Deliver structured weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to the Country Manager and Global Esports Lead, covering KPIs, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Represent PUBG Mobile esports externally — media, government/regulatory bodies (e.g., TESFED where applicable), and industry events.
6. People Leadership• Build, coach, and scale a high-performing esports team; set clear objectives, run structured 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Create a player-first, execution-focused culture that reflects Tencent’s values and the PUBG Mobile esports brand.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Average Minute Audience (AMA), Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV), Hours Watched, Unique Viewers across local broadcasts.
• PMPL Türkiye season delivery (on-time, on-budget, zero critical operational incidents).
• Team/player ecosystem health score (retention, satisfaction, pro-pathway conversion).
• Sponsorship revenue and ecosystem monetization vs. annual plan.
• International performance and representation of Turkish teams at global events.
• In-game / product contribution of esports to Türkiye (DAU lift, retention, revenue during event windows).
Who We Look For• Experience: 6+ years of experience in esports, live events, sports marketing, broadcast production, or gaming publishing — with at least 3+ years in a manager role.
• Tournament Operations: Proven track record managing a league, circuit, or major tournament series (mobile esports is a strong plus).
• Broadcast: Hands-on understanding of live broadcast production workflows, OB/studio operations, streaming platforms, and talent management.
• Commercial: Experience owning a P&L or large event budget; comfortable with commercial negotiations and sponsor conversations.
• Local Market: Deep knowledge of the Turkish gaming & esports ecosystem: pro orgs, creators, platforms, sponsors, regulatory environment.
• Global / Matrix: Experience reporting into and aligning with global/regional stakeholders; able to navigate matrix structures at scale.
• Leadership: Demonstrated people management experience (4+ direct reports or equivalent cross-functional teams).
• Languages: Turkish (native/fluent) and English (business fluent) — both required. All global communication is in English.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Media) or equivalent professional experience.
