The Role

What Supplier Quality contributes to Cardinal Health

This position is responsible to support the Supplier Quality Engineering functions and IQC areas. Support the NCRs and SCARs management activities. Will be reviewing the KPIs related with supplier, to ensure escalations are appropriate and effective to support the business continuity and the healthiness of the quality system. Support the process to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the suppliers and their materials towards established requirements and develop a team approach for addressing any deficiencies. Evaluate and execute opportunities for continuous improvement consistently in Supplier Quality. Maintain Supplier files, records, documentation of department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established certified standards applicable regulations and company policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyzes Incoming / In-Process material defects, dispositions and drives corrective action as necessary.

  • Communicates issues to suppliers and provide inputs when it is required.

  • Management of the NCRs related with suppliers and management of the NCRs metrics applicable for Suppliers.

  • Maintain the Supplier QA Metrics and follow up with the manager to escalate when there are opportunities or issues found.

  • Work closely with Purchasing and Engineering to establish the corrective action plans to meet the requirements of the full product lifecycle.

  • Analyze Supplier quality KPIs and Evaluate Scorecard results to take preventive actions with the suppliers.

  • Support the process to develop suppliers, ensuring optimized levels of quality, cost and delivery performance driving continuous improvement to maximize business performance certifying suppliers and improving the supplier performance.

  • Support the improvement of Supplier Quality Management Systems, performing changes and updates in documented procedures. Identify, evaluate and execute opportunities for continuous improvement consistently.

  • Maintain company documentation of procedures and ensure compliance with established certified standards, applicable regulations, and company policies

  • Support the Supplier Quality projects in order to optimize processes, driving continuous improvement and cost reduction related to supplier management processes.

  • Support on projects related to materials and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years supplier quality experience

  • BSc in Engineering, Quality or similar

  • English: Advance

  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
