You will be part of Samsung Electronics Europe Logistics B.V. (SELS) of which the main office is located in Delft. SELS is the Central European logistics organization of Samsung Electronics, which functions as a logistics and financial control tower within SEC Europe, with a focused role in logistics & supply chain strategy, innovation and monitoring. SELS has approximately 120 employees divided over various department.
As ESG Specialist, you will be mainly responsible for setting up the ESG function within SELS. As well, you will be responsible for CRSD reporting and implementation of other ESG related legislation such as EUDR. You will create visibility on ESG, including sustainability efforts within SELS and Samsung Electronics. You will create a strategy with meaningful actions to improve SELS its ESG situation and ensure the execution thereof by supporting, engaging and influencing stakeholders on this topic.
Role and Responsibilities
All ESG topics are included in particular CRSD reporting and EUDR. ESG includes but are not limited to: sustainability, governance, compliance, environment, empowering communities, employees and sustainable supply chain. You will monitor and report on developments, support and promotes ESG efforts, coordinates with stakeholders inside and outside SELS and represents SELS on this topic.Your main responsibilities will include: Monitoring:
- Identify and provide updates on ESG trends and developments;
- Create visibility on ESG efforts in Samsung Electronics and SELS;
Promote, support, implement and influence ESG:
- Create a strategy for ESG within SELS;
- Ensure compliance with ESG and sustainability laws and regulations;
- Engage stakeholders (e.g. Management, HR, RPM, Legal & Compliance and Customs) and execute/support meaningful actions;
- Support with providing answers to ESG and sustainability related questions;
- Lead the ESG committee;
Coordination inside Samsung Electronics:
- Coordinate SELS’ ESG actions with the Samsung Electronics group;
- Position SELS as a leading company on ESG within Samsung Electronics;
- Contribute to the efforts of Samsung Electronics on sustainability and ESG;
Reporting and compliance:
- Responsible for CRSD reporting;
- Implementation ESG related legislation such as EUDR;
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal partners;
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree level
- 5+ years of relevant experience within ESG related field
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken
