About the Role:
The ESG Project Co-Ordinator is a newly created position within the Analysis team. The team is responsible for delivering a robust pipeline of renewable and firming projects to drive Australia’s energy market transition. To do this, the team has an ambition to add 5GW and 12GW of new capacity to its portfolio by 2030 and 2035 respectively.
Reporting to the ESG Implementation Lead, this role is key to implementing the Major Projects ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Framework across the team’s growing development project pipeline.
What you’ll be doing:
- Project Management and Co-ordination: Integrate ESG into each project stage, provide advice, lead initiatives, and establish partnerships to support ESG performance
- Process Development: Establish and document processes, develop tools, reporting, and templates for ESG framework implementation
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage and develop relevant initiatives
- Knowledge Sharing: Engage with project development managers to understand ESG progress, outcomes, and challenges
- Reporting: Support and co-ordinate the development and ongoing delivery of relevant reporting
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Skills: Subject matter expertise in social or environmental performance delivery, project management, business writing, data management, excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Knowledge of ESG practices, experience operationalizing ESG initiatives, exposure to large-scale renewable generation projects, and stakeholder engagement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, sustainability, engineering, or related fields.
