THE ROLE
The ESG & Finance Compliance Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the company meets its sustainability, regulatory, and financial compliance obligations. This role bridges ESG reporting and operational finance compliance, supporting both environmental initiatives and core financial processes. It offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure in a dynamic and fast-paced fashion environment.
You will report to the Finance Director and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- EPR Compliance (Extended Producer Responsibility)
- Coordinate the collection of product and packaging data from internal teams.
- Liaise with Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) and Authorized Representatives (ARs).
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of EPR filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support the setup and registration of EPR obligations in new countries.
- GHG & Sustainability Reporting
- Assist in the collection, validation, and analysis of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data.
- Support the preparation of ESG and sustainability reports in line with relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI, CSRD).
- Monitor key sustainability KPIs and contribute to tracking progress against company targets.
- Packaging Compliance & Operational Support
- Support compliance with packaging regulations, including PPWR and related requirements.
- Coordinate with product and operations teams to ensure accurate data and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Finance Compliance & Reporting
- Support VAT compliance in the Netherlands, including preparation of filings, reconciliations, and follow-up on discrepancies.
- Assist with CBS (Statistics Netherlands) reporting requirements.
- Prepare and issue invoices for licensing and wholesale partners, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Review and monitor employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- General Compliance & Support
- Assist with ad hoc regulatory filings and data requests across ESG and finance topics.
- Contribute to improving processes, controls, and documentation related to compliance activities.
THE PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Additional certifications or coursework in ESG, sustainability, or compliance would be a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, compliance, or related fields (internships or part-time roles are also considered).
- Experience or interest in the fashion industry, particularly in sustainable fashion, is an advantage.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to work with data and identify discrepancies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with data tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
