Job Profile Summary:
The ESG Expert will lead the company's ESG initiatives. To strategize, advise, and collaborate with several teams - locally and globally, internal and external to produce and implement impactful ESG projects. The ESG expert must be excellent in communicating and promoting the initiatives, internally and externally.
Job Description:
The ESG Expert will drive the company's initiatives under the strategic sustainability priority pillar, aiming to achieve net zero by 2030 and foster environmental and social initiatives among over 6000 + ING employees. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the environmental program and COO Green Guild, ensuring program objectives are embedded in hub practices, including processes, business footprint, corporate real estate, learning programs, reporting, and data quality.
- Developing communication projects and managing relationships with NGOs.
- Coordinating volunteer projects and inclusion initiatives for people with disabilities (DIB).
- Leading carbon footprint reduction projects with targets set by the Group, including CO2 reduction from air travel, car travel, and ING buildings.
- Implementing locally relevant CO2 reduction initiatives, such as waste management.
- Driving climate resilience projects.
- Reporting non-financial data to the ING Group.
- With excellent communication skills to translate the ESG data and initiatives to all stakeholders including the entire hubs population. This includes but not limited to:
- Creating and executing communication plans to launch or promote ESG campaigns.
- Hosting and facilitating meetings and events.
- Explaining technical terms in layman's terms.
- Writing clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Basic Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of ESG experience
- Extensive experience in ESG principles, procedures, and practices.
- Extensive experience in preparing ESG reports
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong budget management
- Strong project management and social skills.
- Regularly meeting local and global stakeholders in private companies and government.
- Ability to create a communication strategy for ESG plans.
- Able to translate global policy and procedures into local practices and metrics
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Compliance with all ESG requirements, leading the company in managing and implementing these initiatives.
- Recognition of ING Hubs Philippines in the market and country as an ESG leader.
- Planning and creating a reasonable ESG budget and strategy for the company.
