The Role
The ERPNext Implementation Consultant will lead the ERPNext implementation, translating business requirements into ERP configurations, managing UAT, and driving end-user adoption across various departments.
Summary Generated by Built In

At CRA, we’re creating purpose-engineered solutions that power the Energy and Defence sectors. As an integrated engineering powerhouse, we design, engineer, and manufacture everything in-house, giving us unmatched control over quality and innovation. Industry leaders trust our solutions, including BrahMos Aerospace, ONGC, OIL, Indian Air Force, and Schlumberger.

We’ve entered an extraordinary growth phase, tripling in size over the last three years. Today, with a team strength of 100, we’re positioned at the intersection of two rapidly expanding sectors.

We are looking for…

An experienced ERPNext Consultant to serve as our internal point of contact during a full-scale ERPNext implementation. You will sit between our business teams and our implementation partner — translating how CRA works into how ERPNext should be configured. This role covers the entire business: from CRM and project execution to procurement, fabrication, quality, dispatch, and commercial milestones.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will be in rooms with our leadership, on calls with the partner, and on the floor with our teams — making sure the ERP we go live with actually reflects the way CRA operates.

What You’ll Do

Own the implementation relationship

Be the single internal point of contact with our ERPNext implementation partner.

Participate in all planning sessions, sprint reviews, UAT cycles, and go-live activities.

Track deliverables, flag risks early, and escalate with clear documentation.

Map our processes into ERPNext

Work with department heads to capture requirements across CRM, Projects, Procurement, Manufacturing, QC, Dispatch, and Accounts.

Ensure the ERP supports our real-world complexity: evolving BOMs, pre-BOM procurement, phase-wise engineering releases, variation orders, milestone billing, and FAT-to-dispatch workflows.

Configure approval hierarchies (PM → Director → Finance) as they actually work at CRA.

Drive module UAT and sign-off

Own UAT across all modules — CRM, Projects, Buying, Stock, Manufacturing, Quality, and Accounts Receivable.

Validate management dashboards: sales pipeline, project schedule, procurement delays, cashflow forecast, and project profitability.

Manage data and documentation

Lead master data preparation: customers, vendors, items, BOMs, chart of accounts, and project templates.

Maintain all implementation artefacts: BRD, FSD, configuration notes, test cases, and training materials.

Drive adoption across teams

Coordinate end-user training with the partner across Sales, Projects, Procurement, Stores, Finance, and QA.

Develop SOPs for day-to-day ERP use aligned to CRA’s workflows.

Champion the change — help our teams move from current tools to ERPNext confidently.

Requirements

2–7 years of hands-on ERPNext / Frappe implementation experience.

Strong working knowledge of ERPNext modules: Projects, CRM, Buying, Stock, Manufacturing, Quality, and Accounts.

Experience implementing ERPNext for engineering, EPC, capital equipment, or project-based manufacturing companies — strongly preferred.

Ability to understand and configure complex project-execution workflows, not just standard ERP flows.

Comfortable writing BRDs, test scripts, configuration documents, and SOPs.

Strong communicator — can engage both technically with the partner and clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have

Exposure to project-level costing, milestone-based billing, and cashflow forecasting in ERPNext.

Familiarity with engineering workflows: BOM versioning, GA/P&ID approvals, FAT processes, QAP, and MDR documentation.

Experience with ERPNext customisation using the Frappe framework (Python / JS).

Understanding of variation order (VO) management and contract-based project execution.

Benefits

Direct access to leadership and real decision-making — no bureaucratic layers.

A complex, full-spectrum implementation: every major ERPNext module, live in a growing 100-person engineering company.

The chance to shape the ERP foundation for a company in an extraordinary growth phase.

Competitive contract compensation commensurate with experience.

Skills Required

  • 2-7 years of hands-on ERPNext / Frappe implementation experience
  • Strong working knowledge of ERPNext modules: Projects, CRM, Buying, Stock, Manufacturing, Quality, and Accounts
  • Experience implementing ERPNext for engineering, EPC, capital equipment, or project-based manufacturing companies
  • Ability to understand and configure complex project-execution workflows
  • Comfortable writing BRDs, test scripts, configuration documents, and SOPs
  • Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
