Your Role: ERP Vistex Technical Lead
The primary focus of this position is partnering with key stakeholders, architects, business process owners, and delivery partners to ensure timely delivery of compliant and high-quality solutions for Vistex customer-related processes. The role is responsible for translating complex Customer Master Data, pricing, rebate, and Gross-to-Net business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring system integrity, compliance, and alignment with the global ERP architecture.
Your Responsibilities:
Operations/System Stewardship (20%)
- Responsible for the overall care and feeding of Vistex customer-related solutions, including Customer Master Data, Customer Rebates, Deals, Claims, Settlements, and related G2N processes.
- Provide ongoing support for Vistex customer processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Support release management for changes impacting Vistex Customer and G2N processes.
- Ensure all changes and enhancements meet required GxP, SOX, and quality requirements.
- Partner with AMS and delivery partners to prioritize and resolve production issues, including root-cause analysis.
- Engage with Product Managers, Global Business Process Owners and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into Vistex capabilities.
- Serve as the primary Vistex Customer SME, providing functional and technical guidance on customer-related requirements including Master Data
- Provide effort estimates and solution recommendations for new enhancement requests.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer to business users and AMS support teams.
Technical SME (80%)
- Act as the primary SME for Vistex Customer-related projects, enhancements, and initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective functional and technical solutions.
- Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Vistex customer-related functionality, including Customer Master Data, Vendor Master Data, Deals, Customer Rebates, Claims, Settlements, Pricing, and G2N processes.
- Design and implement Vistex Customer solutions that integrate effectively with SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash processes, including Customer Master, Vendor Master, Sales Orders, Billing, and Accounts Receivable.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Vistex Customer initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution design, development/configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Ensure solutions align with global SAP/Vistex architecture, standards, and business process requirements.
- Provide technical and functional guidance and effort estimates for new enhancement requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, process efficiency, automation, and system functionality.
- Lead formal testing, change management, documentation, and production support handover activities.
- Ensure all changes and enhancements comply with GxP, SOX, and Elanco quality and compliance requirements.
- Track implementation timelines and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and issues to stakeholders.
- Act as the escalation point for complex Vistex Customer-related functional and technical issues, including root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Vistex DMR, DMP, IP and S/4HANA capabilities and proactively identify opportunities to improve functionality and customer experience.
- Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer to business stakeholders, process owners, and AMS support teams.
- Participate in architecture and solution review discussions and provide recommendations for scalable and sustainable solutions.
- Stay current with technical and functional developments in S/4HANA and Vistex and evaluate opportunities to improve user experience and business functionality.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business management or information technology or related field.
- At least 5-9 years of SAP and Vistex configuration / design and broad related business process experience in Vistex DMR, DMP, Deals, IP Rebates and Billbacks.
- Deep Business Knowledge in key areas of Customer Master Data, Vendor Master Data, Pricing, Rebates and Gross-to-Net management and ERP integration as it relates to Order to Cash processes and integration with S/4 HANA.
- Expertise in working in complex, diverse landscape (business, technology, regulatory and partners)
- Demonstrated ability to determine solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Proven experience in global ERP implementations within the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical domains (SOX/GxP compliance).
- Strong background in vendor management and ITIL frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in modern product discovery and working on technology-powered products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical or animal health commercial and distribution environments.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and provide data-informed solutions to complex problems.
