OBJECTIVES:

  • Defines prioritization for ERP Services IT initiatives, plan solutions to achieve identified objectives, drive program achievement, interface with senior IT management, and influence decision-making on projects.
  • Provides leadership to cross-functional teams and/or program composed of multiple projects/work streams with low to medium complexity and ensure successful delivery of high-impact IT initiatives.
  • Brings deep technical SAP and process understanding to effectively manage ERP projects and provide necessary guidance to team members; external teams and leverage best practices.


ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

  • Leads and manages teams of internal employees and/or consultants within the department.
  • Initialize and plan programs in area of responsibilities consisting of multiple projects and work streams with low to medium complexity / change dimensions
  • Identifies and directs the projects and resource priorities that align with business objectives and execute plans that drive towards goal achievement.
  • Partners with IT (e.g. functional leads) and business area leaders across multiple functions to identify and plan programs and projects.
  • Align with Architecture Services Lead on the target architecture to ensure that investments and best practices are leveraged; likewise ensure that development and security standards are considered.
  • Ensure that all activities are aligned with the ERP ICC Chapter, ERP Product Owners, Release Management team, ERP Platform and Delivery Services team.
  • Assure appropriate prioritization and alignment with the strategy and direction of the EPM organization and that appropriate resources are allocated for their development.
  • Directs and coach the people in the team and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensures that ERP Services project governance effectively aligns with technology strategy/roadmaps and enterprise architecture plans.
  • Ensures programs and projects are delivered in accordance with all applicable compliance requirements, e.g. JSOX, GxP.
  • Monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging ERP / SAP knowledge and implement best practices and continuous improvements.


CORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE:

  • Project Management experience combined with technical SAP experience regarding platforms, internal/external gateways and development standards.
  • Experience of defining and implementing platform operating models that transition from project smoothly into business as usual, handover to AMS service provider.
  • Delivering a cohesive solution by seeking out and managing dependencies and driving collaboration between teams such as architecture, service delivery and platform teams.


Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a broad range of partners at different levels of seniority with mixed perspectives
TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL (LINE) EXPERTISE:
Experience of agile and waterfall project management methodologies and business analysis techniques to lead requirements gathering activities with business and technical users.
Expertise of shaping backlogs and delivery paths for agile delivery teams, as well as excellent understanding of common product/platform/infrastructure dependencies.
SAP technical knowledge - such as platform / basis knowledge, development and architecture skills and / or functional knowledge - is essential.

Strong technical interests and understand technical best practices
INTERACTION:

  • Experience working in matrix environment and in on /offshore model - with colleagues with different backgrounds and areas of expertise
  • Experience working with multiple service provider for AMS and Project Delivery.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a digestible way


EDUCATION:
Required:

  • Bachelors Degree or High School with 12 years IT experience
  • 7+ years relevant ERP experiences
  • Extensive experience planning and delivering ERP projects / programs.
  • Extensive program/project management experience, including management of full lifecycle implementations for major applications.
  • Experience providing IT and business consulting support to multiple business functions within a company.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
  • Ability to utilize data collection, analysis, maintenance application and refinement methods to make fact based decisions.
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of data and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of staff members and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Ability to write and speak in the English language


Desired:

  • SAP S4/HANA Activate Certification
  • Experience with implementation of S4/HANA projects
  • Master's degree, Computer Science or MIS (or equivalent).
  • In-depth pharmaceutical industry and experience.
  • Experience with validated systems.
