This role ensures that training—whether in-person or virtual—meets defined objectives by leveraging a deep technical understanding of the various topics and systems. The trainer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align training content with established standards and best practices. Additionally, this position serves as a feedback conduit, identifying gaps in standards and communicating opportunities for improvement discovered during training delivery. The EPC Operations Training Manager reports directly to the Director of Project Standards.This role is hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA, Edison, NJ or Bend, OR. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Take ownership of assigned Operations business topics by partnering with subject matter experts to learn processes, standards, and business requirements, then assume responsibility for developing, maintaining, and delivering training curriculum on those topics.
Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn complex operational concepts, project management processes, business systems, and emerging technologies, ultimately serving as the recognized training subject matter expert and trusted advisor for assigned areas of responsibility.
Develop and facilitate project management-focused training programs supporting Operations personnel and business processes, heavily focused on:
Project Change Management
Monthly Project Forecasting
Contract Administration and Compliance
Project Controls Processes
Create training materials, job aids, workshops, and learning paths for new and existing operational processes and systems.
Collaborate with Talent Development and Instructional Design teams to convert business content into scalable learning solutions, including e-learning, structured learning paths, and formal training programs.
Partner with Talent Development and business stakeholders to identify desired learning outcomes, knowledge retention requirements, and training effectiveness measures.
Become proficient in both the functional use ("button clicking") and business purpose ("the why") of Operations project management systems, including CMiC, Ramco, Maximo, and other enterprise software platforms.
Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on systems training while continuously updating training materials to reflect system and process changes.
Support a dynamic and evolving Operations organization by maintaining current knowledge of business processes across Photovoltaic (PV), High Voltage (HV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Operations Technology Solutions (OTS), Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business units and Operations Shared Services departments.
Travel to company offices and jobsites to provide in-person training.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
7+ years of commercial or utility scale EPC construction experience as either a Project/Field Engineer, Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Controller or combination thereof.
Strong technical proficiencies with project management principles including change management, contracting, , monthly project forecasting, and ERP management software.
Hands-on experience with an ERP software is required. CMiC experience is preferred.
Proficiency in virtual training tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
Effective organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills.
Ability to use independent judgment; self-starting.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and work well with diverse teams.
Strong presentation skills and experience, able to facilitate, engage and command in-person events of no less than 20 people.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel as needed to successfully fulfill responsibilities and duties.
