About Us: Our Data Center Infrastructure team is the backbone of our operations, providing the critical physical infrastructure that supports our Oracle Core Financial tools and other essential business systems. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to manage our physical IT assets and optimize their lifecycle within our enterprise resource planning (ERP) ecosystem.
Job Summary: The ERP Asset Management Specialist will be a pivotal member of our Data Center Infrastructure team, responsible for overseeing the comprehensive asset management lifecycle of all physical infrastructure components that support our Oracle Core Financial tools. This role requires deep expertise in managing the asset management and maintenance management modules within our ERP system. Acting as a central support resource and system expert, this specialist will bridge the gap between our network deployment engineers and technicians-who plan and execute all infrastructure work-and the broader ERP ecosystem and financial teams. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate inventory, optimize asset utilization, and drive efficiency through robust data management and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • ERP Module Management & Expertise:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for the asset management and maintenance management modules within our Oracle Core Financials ERP system.
    • Lead the administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of these modules to accurately track and manage data center physical assets.
    • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across the ERP ecosystem.
  • Physical Asset Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the complete lifecycle of data center physical assets, including servers, storage, networking equipment, rack PDUs, patch panels, structured cabling, UPSs, and other supporting infrastructure.
    • Maintain and update the asset management system with accurate records from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
    • Track detailed physical locations (site, cabinet, U position), configurations, and relationships of all IT and supporting infrastructure assets.
  • Support & Collaboration:
    • Provide central support and technical assistance to network deployment engineers and technicians, ensuring accurate asset recording and adherence to asset management policies during planning and execution of work.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the Data Center Infrastructure team and other ERP-related teams (e.g., Finance, Procurement, IT Service Management) to ensure consistent data, processes, and reporting.
    • Develop and deliver training and documentation for asset management policies, procedures, and system usage to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Generate comprehensive reports on asset status, utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle for management review and decision-making.
    • Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of physical assets to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, evaluate the efficiency of departmental practices, and recommend improvements for asset utilization and cost control.
  • Maintenance & Compliance:
    • Manage maintenance schedules and records for critical data center infrastructure assets within the ERP system.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding asset warranties, repairs, and disposals.
    • Support compliance efforts with internal controls and audit requirements related to asset management.
    • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and procedures related to physical assets.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or data center operations within an enterprise environment.
    • Demonstrated experience managing asset management and/or maintenance management modules within a major ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
    • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) principles and practices.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with ERP asset management and maintenance management functionalities.
    • Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles.
    • Familiarity with hardware and software asset tracking tools and inventory software.
    • Knowledge of data center hardware (servers, storage, networking equipment) and their configurations.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and generate detailed reports.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present recommendations to various stakeholders.
    • Customer service-oriented with a proactive and collaborative team approach.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ITIL v4 certification(s).
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP for Asset Management.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs) and their integration with asset management.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Software and Hardware Asset Management modules.

CompensationBase compensation may vary based on location.
For candidates in Seattle, Washington DC, or New York City: $120,000 - 143,000
For candidates in Denver: $105,000 - 130,000
