Job Responsibilities
This role is vital to ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. As an Emergency Response Center (ERC) Engineer, you will work closely with our esteemed EHS Taichung team and be assigned to specific functions based on your expertise. Your work location will be determined by operational needs, with potential assignments in Taichung or Tongluo.
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections and audits within the factory area.
  • Inspect high-risk work activities, including confined space entries, elevated work, and hot work.
  • Monitor SCADA systems, fire broadcast systems, and CCTV systems.
  • Assist with external audits conducted by CTSP, EPB, and other agencies during nights or holidays.
  • Respond to and notify teams of abnormal events using the OMT abnormal SMS system.
  • Guide emergency response initiatives during natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons.
  • Coordinate and complete annual evacuation drills and department-specific emergency response drills.
  • Develop and implement ERT training plans, including new and refresher training.
  • Provide fire safety education and training for new colleagues.
  • Manage Business Continuity Management (CM/BCM) projects.
  • Prepare and present content for executive safety committee meetings.
  • Perform maintenance inspections of emergency response equipment.
  • Complete corporate projects as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in an EHS or related engineering role.
  • Capability to perform work during shifts, including nights and holidays.
  • Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and high-risk work inspections.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and emergency response protocols.
  • Strong communication abilities and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively.
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
