The Emergency Department Technician under the supervision of nursing staff, assists in the provision of emergency care. Reports and documents any unusual incidents. Works to meet Department, Hospital and Hunt Regional Healthcare goals.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
1. Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.

8. Promptly reports events to the Shift Manager regarding med errors, falls, concerns, etc.

10. Ensures that appropriate physician orders are followed. Ensures communication to the nurse of the patient's progress, changes in condition, needs and preferences.
11. Instructs patients and family members of hospital routines and procedures.
12. Documents treatments and procedures in the medical record.
13. Promotes a positive work environment that enhances professional respect, growth, creativity, and active participation in achieving of the mission and vision of the organization.
14. Completes required education in a timely manner.
