To support the ER manager in employee relations matters.
Job Description
Role Profile: Employee Relations (ER) Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
Investigations Support
- Assist in conducting employee relations investigations, including gathering and organizing evidence, taking notes during interviews, and preparing investigation reports.
Court Session Assistance
- Attend court sessions or hearings related to employment matters, providing logistical and administrative support to the ER team or legal counsel.
Policy Development Support
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and organizational requirements.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret ER-related data to identify trends, generate insights, and support decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards on employee relations metrics.
Meeting Coordination
- Take minutes during ER-related meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of records.
- Track follow-up actions and ensure proper documentation.
Project Support
- Provide support for ER and HR-related projects, including planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and compliance.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain and update employee relations records and documentation.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the ER function.
Ad Hoc Human Capital Support
- Support the Human Capital (HC) team on various tasks and initiatives as required.
- Collaborate with different HC teams to contribute to broader objectives and organizational goals.
Communication and Liaison
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries related to ER matters, escalating as necessary.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication on ER issues.

- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in all tasks, from documentation to data analysis.
- Confidentiality: Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
- Proficiency in Tools: Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and familiarity with HR systems is an advantage.
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Prior experience in HR or ER support roles is advantageous.
