Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join the China Industrials Equity Research team and will play an integral role in supporting the team's research franchise and client engagement. Responsibilities include:
Support team coverage across the sector, and cover designated subsectors within the China Industrials universe.
Contribute to franchise-building initiatives through thematic projects, and thought leadership.
Conduct fundamental research on listed companies, including financial analysis, earnings forecasting, valuation, and investment recommendations.
Draft high-quality research reports on industry developments, long-term thematic trends, company-specific investment ideas.
Monitor industry news flow, macro and policy developments, assessing their implications for companies and sectors under coverage.
Respond promptly to client requests for data, analysis, financial models, and bespoke research.
Collaborate closely with internal sales, trading, strategy, and other research teams to deliver timely and differentiated investment views.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in sell-side or buy-side equity research.
Experience covering the Industrials sector is strongly preferred.
Strong financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills, with the ability to analyze complex businesses and industry dynamics.
Demonstrated experience producing high-quality research reports and communicating investment ideas to institutional investors.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with close attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
Self-motivated team player with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a strong interest in financial markets and equity investing.
