Conduct bottom-up equity research, develop investment theses, build financial models, evaluate mutual funds and AIFs, monitor portfolios and market developments, perform primary research, and present investment recommendations to the investment team and Board.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate differentiated, high-conviction investment ideas in direct equity stocks through fundamental, bottom-up research across sectors.
- Develop investment theses with a clear view on long-term business quality, risk/reward, key catalysts, and variant perception versus consensus.
- Build and maintain financial models for companies in the portfolio and investment pipeline.
- Analyze various investment proposals across mutual funds and AIF space.
- Monitor the firm’s mutual fund investments — tracking performance, portfolio holdings, style and strategy drift, fund manager changes, and risk metrics
- Meet existing and potential companies and fund managers.
- Track the broader coverage universe, monitoring earnings, management commentary, industry data, and macro developments.
- Present and defend investment recommendations to the investment team and the Board.
- Conduct primary research - channel checks, expert calls, management meetings, conference and site visits - to build proprietary insight.
- Maintain ongoing conviction monitoring on existing positions, proactively flagging changes to the thesis, valuation, or risk profile.
- Contribute to a rigorous, debate-driven research culture, sharing ideas across the investment team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; CFA candidature will be preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in equity research, preferably on the buy-side. Strong sell-side candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

Preferred Industry Exposure
- Asset/ wealth management companies, equity brokerages, family offices, or institutional investors
- Sell-side or buy-side equity research roles
- Experience interacting with listed company management and investor relations teams
- Exposure to benchmark-oriented portfolios is an advantage
Skills Required
