JPMorganChase is seeking an Analyst to join its Equity Capital Markets (ECM) – Syndicate desk. The Syndicate desk sits at the center of the firm's equity issuance franchise, responsible for the pricing, allocation, and distribution of equity and equity-linked offerings, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, and convertible bonds.
As an Analyst in our (ECM) – Syndicate team, you will serve as a critical bridge between issuer clients, origination and coverage teams, institutional investors, and Equity Sales & Trading, the team manages real-time execution of equity offerings — translating client objectives and market conditions into pricing, timing, and allocation outcomes. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced role offering direct exposure to live capital markets transactions and the mechanics of bringing new equity issuance to market.
Job responsibilities
- Support the execution and syndication of equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, block trades, and convertible bond offerings
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Trading, Investment Banking, Operations, and Legal to coordinate ECM transaction execution, manage timelines and deliverables, and drive clear, consistent deal communications
- Analyze and summarize allocation data for senior bankers, preparing actionable insights and materials to support decision-making on distribution and investor positioning
- Assist with pricing analysis and aftermarket performance tracking, monitoring trading performance and key market indicators to inform internal updates
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills
- Knowledge of capital markets and the ECM execution function
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders across lines of business
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
- SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses, or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days of start date
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in an investment banking front office or related role
