GENERAL FUNCTION:

Perform a wide range of complex analytical, valuation and financial modeling analysis along with preparing high quality presentation materials to support senior bankers in Equity Capital Markets. Requires a high level of quantitative, analytical and communication skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects and be prepared to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team. Must communicate effectively and proactively with members of the deal team and collaborate with partners throughout the bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the concepts of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets and credit.
• Independently build and understand complex company financial models using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables.
• Exhibit high attention to detail and discipline to check work to produce error free and properly formatted work on a consistent basis.
• Independently prepare high quality presentation materials for use in client meetings and internal deal approvals covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance.
• Actively participate in the origination and execution of Equity Capital Markets transactions including IPO's, follow ons and convertible offerings.
• Anticipate needs and understand priorities based on specific situation and proactively communicate with deal team members on status and prioritization of projects.
• Develop good working relationships with peers and senior bankers in various areas of Capital Markets and the rest of the organization.
• Be accessible to peers and be prepared to provide guidance in a constructive manner.
• Develop an understanding of industry developments and trends and supporting analysis that enhance the senior bankers' initiatives.
• Begin to attend select pitches and develop client facing responsibilities.
• Provide leadership in administrative areas that enhance group effectiveness.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 1-2 years of investment banking and/or capital markets experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance or Accounting and 3.5 GPA preferred.
• Exhibit strong work ethic and passion for excellence while conducting self in a professional manner.
• Ability to excel in both team and self-directing settings.
• Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Strong analytical skills and good working knowledge of financial modeling.
• SIE 79 and 63 licenses required.
