Equity Associate Analyst (Technology, Media & Telecommunication Team) – Baltimore

Role Summary   

• Role will provide fundamental research support to the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team including our Internet analyst and the portfolio manager of our Communications and Technology Fund

• The Associate Analyst program is a three to five year structured program offering ongoing training and mentoring and is designed to develop future fundamental investment analysts 

• Diverse responsibilities including collaboration with portfolio managers, extensive financial analysis, and company/industry related research projects

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record required AND

• Strong preference for 2+ years relevant equity research experience

Preferred:

• Highly motivated, confident self-starter, with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a performance-driven environment 

• A demonstrated interest and passion for equity investing and financial markets 

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large and varying date sets

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills including previous experience building three-statement models  

• Demonstrated ability to derive meaningful insights from in-depth research and analysis 

• Preference for candidates who have made progress toward the CFA designation

• Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (e.g., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant work status) 

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$110,000.00-$140,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
