About the Role/Team:
The Equity & Mobility Compensation Analyst will support the execution, and day- to-day management of our equity compensation programs. This role requires a data-driven, analytical mindset with a strong foundation in data modeling, trend analysis and business partnership. Technical expertise in compensation modeling, analytics and dashboards.
This role will partner with a third-party stock plan administrator to manage day-to-day operations of equity programs (e.g., RSUs, Performance RSUs, Market Share Units). Additionally, they will collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders on compensation-related initiatives and projects.
This role will make compensation recommendations for international assignments, transfers, and permanent relocations, as well as support the administration of year-end compensation.
What you'll do:
Equity Compensation:
Confidentially communicate with business leaders on equity compensation and relocation matters.
Oversee all equity grant activities in collaboration with a third-party administrator, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and reporting through a co-sourcing model.
Manage monthly equity reporting and audit.
Partner with Finance, HR, and Legal on equity-related matters.
Manage vendor relationships, troubleshoot issues, recommend system enhancements, and act as the primary contact for equity data and transactions.
Respond thoughtfully to employee inquiries regarding RSUs and other stock grants as well as Board of Directors grants and retainers.
Executive Compensation:
Support preparation of proxy statement tables, SEC filings and executive compensation analyses.
Assist with researching equity plans for publicly traded companies.
Model long-term incentive plan changes.
Relocation:
Manage end-to-end global mobility processes, including compensation recommendation for international assignments, transfers, and permanent relocations.
Manage relationships and liaise with our external partners and internal teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
Establish and maintain our long-term mobility strategy to ensure Wex is set up for success globally.
Develop and maintain global mobility policies and procedures in line with our company mission and culture.
Utilize mobility metrics to drive key insights and decisions around movement of talent.
Design and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or similar) to track program effectiveness and support decision-making.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with SEC and IRS regulations and SOX controls related to equity programs.
Ensure tax preparation for mobility participants is compliant with home and, host taxing authorities
Partner with Wex’s immigration specialist to ensure work permits, visas and any other required documentation is in order for globally mobile employees
Contribute to special projects, including broad-based compensation initiatives.
What you'll bring:
Required:
Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in compensation.
Strong fluency in data analysis tools, including proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
Experience with equity compensation.
Experience with global mobility and relocation/immigration experience with demonstrated experience in one or more jurisdictions (US, EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner with HRBPs, Legal, Finance and the business at all levels.
Preferred:
Experience managing stock, RSU and PSUs.
Strong Project Management skill set.
Experience creating and presenting equity compensation training sessions.
In-house corporate mobility experience (both international and US domestic).
General understanding of tax and payroll implications of cross state/country moves.
