Job Description
The Equity Derivatives Middle Office comprises of business-aligned support teams for the equity derivative traders. The business covers all Asian markets; with products that range from cash equity to highly structured derivatives. The team comprises of both trade support staff and traders' assistants.
The team covers the following products: FX options, structured derivatives, equity swaps, interest rate swaps, futures, options. variance swaps, cash equity, bonds, convertible bonds, stock borrow and loan.
As Equities Trade Support Associate, you will support traders from an operational perspective and maintain controls in trading activities.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure all transactions are correctly captured in the trade capture and downstream systems
- Perform reconciliations between front office, middle office and back office systems to ensure data capture accuracy and completeness
- Ensure traders are in compliance with rules and regulations in various local jurisdictions
- Perform instrument set-up of listed and OTC market instruments
- Monitor market data capture and ensure its accuracy
- Continuous project work involving process improvement or system implementation
- Contact traders, marketers and external brokers on a daily basis.
- Multi-tasking is essential: ensuring that the risk of each transaction is correctly recorded; maintaining a high level of client service, whilst at all times adhering to the controls and policies of the business.
- Adapt to changing environments and possess the mindset to seek continuous improvement in processes, controls, etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 year of relevant experience in Equities Trade Support
- Strong proficiency with MS Office and the ability to pick up complex systems architecture easily.
- Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude; solid business acumen; strong level of professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of VBA / SQL would be an asset
- Previous exposure to equity and equity derivative products preferred.
- Mathematics, Finance or Science background
