Head of OMS Product Strategy – Multi-Asset Trading

OverviewMorgan Stanley is seeking an Executive Director to lead Product Strategy for our global front-end Order Management System (OMS) platform across equities, futures, listed options, and swaps.
This is a senior business-side product leadership role responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and commercial priorities for the firm’s front-end trading workflow technology. The role partners closely with Trading, Sales and Risk, and directs a dedicated technology organization to deliver against that strategy.
The successful candidate will combine deep capital markets expertise with strong product management discipline and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across business
and technology.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision- Define and execute the multi-year product roadmap for the front-end OMS platform.
- Drive workflow innovation across electronic and high-touch trading.
- Align OMS capabilities with evolving market structure, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead build vs. buy evaluations and strategic vendor decisions.
- Act as the senior product partner to trading leadership across asset classes.
- Translate commercial priorities into clearly defined product requirements and delivery plans.
- Prioritize initiatives based on revenue impact, client experience, risk mitigation, and scalability.
- Champion workflow efficiency, automation, and front-office productivity.
- Direct and partner with engineering leadership to ensure high-quality execution.
- Ensure architecture supports performance, resiliency, and global scale.
- Embed strong governance, controls, and production standards.
- Oversee platform investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Lead a global team of product managers and business leads.
- Establish disciplined product management practices (roadmapping, metrics, stakeholder alignment).
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and execution excellence.
- 15+ years of experience in capital markets, with significant exposure to front-office trading platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in product leadership for OMS/EMS or front-office workflow systems.
- Deep understanding of multi-asset trading workflows (equities, futures, options, derivatives).
- Experience directing large technology teams and influencing senior engineering stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgment and executive presence.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
