Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Equipment Tech based out of our Canal Point, FL plant. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment.
Day to Day
- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- Perform maintenance on the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment
- Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance
- Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work Environment
- Some plant maintenance experience including welding
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
- Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
About You
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- Positive, Team-based attitude
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Min 2 years’ experience
Working Conditions
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
