Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech Leadman based out of our Lake Lynn, PA Quarry to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. in our East Region. This role is responsible for leading the second shift crew.
Day to Day
- Lead second-shift personnel by assigning daily work, providing direction, monitoring task completion, and supporting efficient plant production.
- Follow and reinforce all company, industry, MSHA, and applicable government safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment in accordance with company standards and operational needs.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment by identifying hazards, supporting housekeeping expectations, and promoting safe work practices.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, identify safety defects or maintenance concerns, and promptly report issues to the supervisor.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment, including conveyors, screens, crushers, and related components.
- Operate or learn to operate crushing and screening equipment, as well as mobile plant equipment such as loaders and haul trucks, as needed to support production.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support safe and efficient site operations.
About You
- 4 - 6+ years of experience in aggregates, mining, heavy industrial operations, or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Maintain prompt, regular, and predictable attendance to support operational continuity.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet, and lifting up to 60 pounds as needed.
- Ability to follow supervisory direction, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with team members.
- Ability to work safely in varied outdoor conditions, including cold, heat, dry, dusty, and rainy environments.
- Maintenance experience with crushing and screening equipment preferred.
- Fabrication and welding experience preferred.
- Current Part 48 MSHA training preferred.
Working Conditions
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
