Position Summary

The Equipment Processing Associate provides essential operational support for the Company’s Central Depot, which serves as the primary location for receiving, processing, and redistributing Company equipment such as laptops, monitors, docking stations, and other equipment. This role is primarily responsible for the intake, inspection, cleaning, and preparation of returned IT assets and other equipment to ensure it meets Company standards for quality, organization, and readiness for redistribution.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

  • Process all incoming and outgoing packages at the depot, with a strong focus on receiving and handling returned IT assets and other equipment.

  • Inspect all returned equipment for condition, completeness, and accuracy against records.

  • Identify and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to Facilities for further evaluation.

  • Perform detailed cleaning, sanitization, and repackaging of all equipment for redistribution.

  • Accurately enter and update tagged IT equipment in the inventory system, ensuring data integrity and tracking.

  • Maintain organized workflows for high-volume intake periods, ensuring timely and efficient processing of equipment in coordination with the IT Distribution Specialist and Director of Facilities and Administrative Services as volume requires.

  • Organize and maintain all storage of company-wide equipment at the depot, ensuring a clean, orderly, and accessible environment.

  • Maintain an organized shipping/receiving area and report packaging supply needs as appropriate.

  • Assist as needed with contacting offices about overdue equipment.

  • Support inventory audits by ensuring equipment is properly logged, stored, and accounted for.

  • On occasion, assist with delivering packages to FedEx, UPS, USPS, or local area offices as needed.

  • Assist with other administrative duties and projects as assigned.

Your Background and Skills

  • High school diploma and experience in assembly, packaging, or other related experience.

  • Experience in warehouse operations (including receiving, inventory, or shipping) as well as experience with quality control, detailing, or cleaning is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain a commitment to quality by applying careful attention to detail when cleaning, organizing, and packaging equipment to ensure it consistently meets established standards and passes quality and inventory checks.

  • Basic understanding of computers and other computer equipment and how they function.

  • Knowledge of basic computer peripherals (e.g. connecting a keyboard, mouse, etc.).

  • Basic computer skills, with some experience in the Microsoft Office suite preferred.

  • Strong customer service focus and a positive, results oriented approach to tasks.

  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload and effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.

  • Compensation: $33,000 to $44,000 depending on experience.  More is possible if experience dictates.
