The Equipment Engineer supports assembly, testing, and modification of modules, managing new product introductions, addressing technical issues, and improving processes, while coaching operators and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ResponsibilitiesSolutioning / 2nd line support

Contributes to the solution of faults and takes the necessary initiatives and practical decisions to ensure zero repeat.
Solves technical and process problems within own focus areas structurally (several modules). Analyses problems of products and processes.

New Product Introduction

Manages New Product Introduction by applying knowledge in product or process development projects; foresees production problems in the design phase and improves the manufacturability of the product.
Is actively involved in the release for volume takeover from D&E to Manufacturing.

Engineering

Collects and evaluates data and contributes to or produces partial designs.
Understands engineering problems related to own tasks and proposes different solutions to choose from, in an environment with some technical uncertainties. Works independently on diagnostics and maintenance.

Maintenance

Maintains, validates, provides up-to-date procedures, processes (work preparation) and blueprints/sequences for Factory execution.

Continuous Improvement

Analyzes the production process, points out structural problems and bottlenecks, work out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation.
Continuously adapt, optimize operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators.
Drive assigned process improvement projects to in-time and successful delivery.
Identifies missing processes / procedures (in/outside the factory) and creates them.

Team management / Coaching

Coaches (senior) operators, educates less experienced colleagues on content of work (including processes) and answering questions.

Stakeholder Management

Represents manufacturing in D&E/PGP, ensuring an efficient NPI process.
Communication at work center level with own module TS,CS,ME,SCE engineers.
Own level and 2 levels higher with (non) Factory departments (engineers, PL).
