QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

- $35.80 - $39.79 per hour
- Must be a graduate from a Mechanical or Chemical Technology program or have equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in paint or E-coat facilities role required
- Knowledge of E-Coat systems, paint chemistry, wastewater treatment systems, and industrial process controls
- Knowledge of DataPaq equipment and software, oven balancing an asset
- Experience with industrial wastewater treatment systems, including wet chemistry required
- Loading and working with paint and hazardous chemicals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent ability to prioritize many different tasks
- Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Must be fitted and wear a respirator according to established guidelines
MAIN DUTIES:
- Monitor and maintain E-Coat bath chemistry within specified operating parameters
- Perform laboratory testing including conductivity, pH, solids, temperature, and other required process checks
- Monitor operation of E-Coat tanks, ultrafiltration systems, DI water systems, rectifiers, ovens, washers, pumps, filters, and wastewater treatment equipment
- Ensure pretreatment systems, sludge management systems, and wastewater treatment equipment are operating efficiently
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and weekly audits of paint facilities equipment
- Maintain all documentation, testing records, inventories, and reports required for the position
- Troubleshoot paint process and equipment-related issues and implement corrective actions as required
- Support root cause investigations related to quality, process, and equipment concerns
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and chemical suppliers to maintain process stability
- Ensure customer requirements and paint process specifications are consistently achieved
- Maintain housekeeping standards within paint facilities areas and keep all documentation records up to date.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
- Perform other duties as assigned
