Position Objective: Lead and execute advanced epidemiologic analyses and data-driven products for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) supporting investigations, dashboards, publications, and rapid-turn decision support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and guide complex analytic work (multivariate models, study design support, power calculations).
- Develop analytic datasets, documentation, and repeatable pipelines/code.
- Provide quality assurance guidance to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Produce dashboards/visualizations and briefing materials for leadership.
- Support manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and clearance-ready deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field
- Proficiency in SAS and/or R for analysis and reporting
- Strong ability to translate analysis into clear written products and briefings
- Ability to work cross-functionally with CDC stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and data security
- Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust suitability and comply with CDC policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public health or related field
- Experience with clinical data, surveillance platforms, and data modernization alignment
- Experience with Power BI/Tableau and developing dashboards for program use
- Experience facilitating rapid turnaround for complex documents and clearance workflows
